Our modern, minimal Harrow picture light is designed to screw directly onto the wall using a mounting plate.

The light is height adjustable, and the plate has a handy built-in picture hook. Once your picture is in situ, the electrics will be entirely hidden from view.

Antique brass is what’s called a ‘living’ finish because it reacts to the air and moisture around it, causing it to darken (especially in the areas you touch most). We’ve given it a head start by ageing it by hand, so it has that antique look right out the box.

Picture lights

Good well designed slim high quality lights - well worth the expense. The main problem is that they are at right angles to the wall and do not easily light a painting on the wall. Having bought my other picture lights from well-established supplier (Hogarth, at 4 times the cost!) the solutions were (a) to lossen the swivel joint of the light/arm junction to direct the light toward the wall - even so the thick wiring severly limits the rotation; thus (b) I bent the light arm by about 30 degrees. Together, these two modification gave me light that illuminated the painting and not the floor! Happy to send you images.
